Why We Started Zone Zero

In the past, homeowners relied on their local fire departments to save their homes from a fire, and if the worst happened, they relied on their insurance carrier to help them rebuild. After the fires in Santa Rosa, Paradise, Lanai, Pacific Palisades and Altadena, our founders realized that in today’s world, that isn’t enough. Wildfires are only going to continue to be more catastrophic, and homeowners need to be more proactive to protect themselves. So, they built a company that makes it simple – backed by 25+ years of hands-on experience and a licensed, bonded crew that handles everything.

One call, one crew, let us handle creating defensible space and hardening your home from wildfires - from your first assessment. We know this terrain, we know what local inspectors look for, and we're invested in the communities we work in. This is our backyard too.

Our Expertise

Zone Zero's crew is fully licensed and bonded in the state of California. Our VP of Operations brings 25+ years of experience across the Bay Area. Every project is supervised start to finish to make it easy for you to protect your home

We stay current on state standards, local requirements and the latest home hardening best practices so you don't have to.

Why It Matters to Us

We live and work in the same communities we serve. When a fire threatens a neighborhood on the Peninsula, in Marin or in the East Bay hills, it's not abstract to us. We have friends who have lost their homes to wildfires, and we know the heartbreak that comes with that. That's why we take every project seriously — and why we're committed to doing the work right.
